NJ Horror Con Returns to Atlantic City October 11-13, 2019
The most wonderful time of the year is upon us once again, and what better way to ring in the Halloween season than with an October New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival? The convention is back at the Showboat in Atlantic City with another great lineup of guests and events. Read on for a peak at what to expect at this fall’s show.
Fans of A Nightmare on Elm Street will have the opportunity to meet three cast members from Wes Craven’s original 1984 horror classic. Heather Langenkamp (Nancy) and Amanda Wyss (Tina) will be on hand for autograph signings, along with Mimi Craven who played the role of the nurse.
Several members of the Police Academy cast will be in attendance for a special reunion which will include a photo op with the famous 1980s-style police car. Appearing will be Steve Guttenberg (Mahoney), Marion Ramsey (Hooks), Leslie Easterbrook (Callahan), and Michael Winslow (Jones). Winslow will also be part of a Spaceballs reunion and will be hosting the “Scaryoke” after party on Saturday, October 12th at 9PM. Joining Mr. Winslow for the Spaceballs reunion will be George Wyner (Colonel Sandurz) and Felix Silla (Dink). The cast will also be available for a special photo op at the Spaceballs Command Center along with a Dark Helmet cosplayer.
Also on the guest list are Patty Mullen and James Lorinz from Frank Henenlotter’s 1990 cult classic Frankenhooker. Other guests include P.J. Soles (Halloween, Carrie), Fiona Dourif (Curse of Chucky, Cult of Chucky), Terry Kiser (Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Weekend at Bernie’s), and many more exciting personalities.
In addition to the impressive array of special guests, you can also expect to see some great cosplayers, vendors, and celebrity panels with Q & A sessions. Be sure to check out the film festival as well, which will include a special screening of the fan film Friday the 13th: Vengeance starring C.J. Graham and Jason Brooks.
