Spend Some Time in Quarantine with ‘The Isolation Horrors’
While many of us are undoubtedly enjoying a plethora of horror movies to help pass the time during the current global lockdown, a group of filmmakers based in the UK have decided to produce one of their own in the form of The Isolation Horrors. The short anthology film consists of several terrifying stories tied together by a wraparound segment called “The Bloody Face Mask”.
The idea for The Isolation Horrors was conceived by director Nicolai Kornum. His plan was to have five filmmakers write and direct their own horror shorts, set (appropriately) in the midst of an epidemic lockdown. All segments were to be shot via cell phone from home or place of isolation, and the creative team completed the project remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Synopsis (from IMDb): “During an epidemic outbreak a concerned neighbour calls his isolating friends to check on them, after he finds a bloody face mask in the street. Meanwhile the neighbours are experiencing their own horrors in their homes of isolation.”
